I found a survey put together by Dove (remember the transformation video, where the girl goes from plain to uber-perfect with photoshop?)that puts some of those stats in graph form. One graph shows how women feel about compliments and feeling beautiful, and it seems like in Japan, men either don't know how to appreciate beauty, or women are in denial about their charms. I think you, Asumi, are very cute and attractive. :-)
Please write more about Japan, tell more about what you think americans need to relearn or can improve upon. And forgive our rudeness, どうぞBen Pazhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07214150935004287596noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-675860382159534011.post-49850286452128713662009-04-08T16:18:00.000-10:002009-04-08T16:18:00.000-10:00It was interesting to see so much on other countri...It was interesting to see so much on other countries as to their perception of beauty.Greghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06214314046474176253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-675860382159534011.post-3097928875779476252009-04-06T07:38:00.000-10:002009-04-06T07:38:00.000-10:00Hey Asumi! It's sad to see that so many women don't feel like they are beautiful- especially sad that so many Japanese feel this way.

I'd be interested to know what you think about why Japanese women feel they should be thinner. The stats seem to suggest that the women aren't feeling pressure from the media or society so I wonder where this pressure comes from.Jaminhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15090508777567250838noreply@blogger.com
